I need a reduction fitting (or fittings) that will take a 3-inch discharge hose (from a trash pump) down to 1 (or 1.5) inches, so I can attach a smaller hose to the big fat blue one. The fitting on the end of the 3-in. hose has male screw threads, so I think I need a F-M fitting. Using multiple fittings to accomplish this would be OK. Metal preferred but not essential. 

I&#039;m mentioning both 1- and 1.5-inch hose because I haven&#039;t yet decided which size to use. It&#039;s a coin-toss at this point.
