Questions from our customers

  • question:

I need a 3/16″ or so thick rubber sheet, 1′ x 1.5′, for shock-mounting a radiator so it would need to take temperatures up to 210 degrees or so and remain flexible down to 25 degrees, and be resistant to antifreeze and oil.

    • Amazon Hose answers:

EPDM would be the best material for those temperatures. We have it in 3/16″ thickness on rolls that are 36″ wide and sell it by the foot.

  • question:

Im looking for a rubber strip thats 3.5″ wide 1/8″ thick and about 25′ long that’s one peice do you carry anything like that

    • Amazon Hose answers:

We carry 1/8″ thick neoprene sheeting and can custom cut strips like that for you. I will email you with further information.

  • question:

I need a very small piece of solid Black Gum Rubber 1/4″ thick 5″x5″ square.
Can you provide this small piece?

    Thanks

    • Amazon Hose answers:

I would only have gum rubber in the natural tan color, not in black. Would you be able to use that?

If so, we have it on rolls that are 36″ wide and sell it by the foot, so the least you could buy would be 12″ x 36″.

Let me know if you have any other questions or need pricing.

  • question:

I need a custom gasket for an industrial oven that gets up to 300 deg F. Can you make this gasket?

    • Amazon Hose answers:

What I have for making gaskets is flat sheet rubber and flat non-asbestos material for high temp applications. Is the gasket you are looking at something flat that will be bolted between two flanges, or something like that, or is it the cushioned gasket like what you see on a oven door?

  • question:

What type of rubber do you recommend for a gasket on a manual water pump, inside the pump.

    • Amazon Hose answers:

For a gasket inside of a water pump you should be fine with either neoprene or red rubber. We have both of those materials in different thicknesses on rolls and sell them by the foot. Let me know what you need and we can take care of you.

  • question:

How much would a sheet of 1/4 inch thick gum rubber be?

  • question:

Do you have a 1/4 inch think small sheet of gum rubber? I Would like to make a drum pad with it but i can’t find a good deal.

    • Amazon Hose answers:

We do have gum rubber sheeting in ¼” thickness. We have it on a roll that is 36” wide and sell it by the foot. I will email you with pricing information.

  • question:

    Hello,
Do you have 2mm silicone/gum rubber sheeting or similar that I can use for my vacuum forming boxes?

    • Amazon Hose answers:

We have gum rubber sheeting in 1/16″ and 1/8″ if either one of those would work for you.

  • question:

what widths do you carry 1/4 inch non marking rubber? what is the minimum length i can order?

  • question:

    I am looking for 1/4 gum rubber 50 in x 16 ft.

    • Amazon Hose answers:

We only stock 1/4″ gum rubber in 36″ wide, but we can also order it in 48″ wide if that will work.

  • question:

I need to replace the diaphragm in a hooka air compressor for which parts are no longer available. I believe I can make one if I can obtain the proper material which appears to be approximately 1/16″ thick neoprene with a single ply reinforcement. Is a product like this available?

    • Amazon Hose answers:

Yes, we carry 1/16″ thick cloth inserted neoprene sheeting. We have it on rolls 4 ft wide and sell it by the running foot.

  • question:

I need approximately 800 lf of 2″ wide EDPM rubber to be used as a gasket. The gasket is going to be used to separate a 1/4″ Eco Cement board and an aluminum furring strip. The thickness of the rubber doesn’t matter so the thinner the better.

    Thanks,
    Randy

  • question:
