Silicone Hose
Silicone Hose: A Cost-Effective Solution to High Pressure Applications
Silicone hoses are used in a range of industrial applications. These highly durable hoses are ideal for high pressure conditions and vacuum applications. High quality hoses can withstand temperature variations and extreme pressures. Silicone hoses are available in a variety of options, such as wired, fabric, single-braided and double braided, to meet specific industry requirements.
How is a Silicone Hose Manufactured?
A silicone hose is made up of the silicone compound, a chemical substance similar to the quartz crystal. It contains strings (or bonds) among oxygen, hydrogen, carbon and silicone. The production process of silicone hoses includes treatment with several chemicals such as chlorine. The chemical treatment makes the hose more durable, chemical resistant and non-toxic.
Silicone hoses appear as a condensed form of sand like elements of milky translucent color. To make it more rugged, the hose is covered with polyester fabric. This reinforcement makes the hose more flexible and adaptable to extreme conditions.
Silicone Hose: Range of Applications
Silicone hoses are used in a range of applications across different industrial sectors. They are particularly used in:
The automobile industry extensively uses silicone hoses. They are particularly used in sports cars to support a high temperature and pressure environment. They are used in radiators, air cool chambers and turbo devices.
It is hard to buy these hoses in retail markets. Most industries procure them directly from manufacturing companies or online suppliers.

I’m looking for a silicone hose to use in a beer brewery. Needs to be 1/2″, food-grade, high temp (over boiling), and moderate pressure (60psi). Do you have anything that would meet those requirements?
It sounds like what would work best for you would be a braided silicone hose. We don’t carry that in stock, but we can certainly order it in for you.
Do you know how much of the hose you are looking for?
Looking for cooling system reducer hoses
1 each – 2 1/2″ X 2 3/4″ X 3″L
1 each – 2 1/2″ X 3″ X 3″L
will need cost and availablilty, we are in Pompano Beach, FL
We’ve got both of those in stock! I will email you a quote right away!
are these silicone hoses gasoline resistant too? would it resist gas-air mix from a carburetor to a 260cc scooter engine?
No, silicone hoses are not appropriate for use with gasoline or oil. Over time it will cause them to swell and eventually fail.
Looking for a cooling system reducer hose 3 3/4″”L X 1 1/2″ID X 2″ID
Also 2 1/2″ Flexible radiator hose, something we can make a 90° bend within about 24″L.
Thanks for your inquiry on our site. We do have 2”x1-1/2” silicone reducers, but they are only about 3” long.
Will that work for you?
Can this silicone hose be formed to match radiator hose bends?
No, unfortunately we are unable to supply molded radiator hoses.
I am in need of silicone hose for all my turbo piping on an 2004 Ford F350. I know there are 2 straight pieces that need to be able to flex and 1 45 degree. Is this hose able to be used in place of the OEM spec silicone hose? Thank you very much for your time
Yes, our hose would be perfect for that. We have straight couplings along with 45 and 90 degree couplings in stock in several sizes. Just let us know what you need and we’ll take care of you.
