Industrial Suction & Discharge Hose
Suction & Discharge hoses can be found in a variety of applications: fuel & oil delivery, flour, grain & beverage dispensing, and material handling. It is our most popular product for storm drainage and water discharge. In addition to the numerous applications in the field, discharge hose can be found in various sizes, ranging from as small as 1/8” to as large as 12” and, in some cases, even larger.
It is important to realize that there are many factors involved in choosing the correct hose for your specific needs. One easy way to provide the information required, is to use the “STAMPED” method – Size, Temperature, Application, Material being conveyed, Pressure, Ends, & Delivery. Knowing these factors, will allow our expert staff to lead you in the right direction.
Amazon stocks products from manufacturers such as Alfagomma/Kuriyama, Dixon, Goodyear, Pacific Echo, Sun-Flo, Thermoid, Titan, and many more. Amazon always provides customers with quality discharge hose in all shapes, sizes, colors, and compounds. Compounds used might include nylon, silicone, PVC, EPDM, & nitrile.
From thin & flat, to big & bulky, Amazon’s got you covered on suction discharge hose.
More on Suction Discharge
A suction discharge hose is a semi-rigid hose constructed of a variety of rubber compounds or PVC with a spiral reinforcement made from metal or PVC in the internal layer to prevent collapsing. Also called hard suction, it is used to vacuum the media from a non-pressurized source.
Suction Discharge Hose: Uses
Apart from pumping out water, a suction discharge hose is used in a variety of applications. It is an ideal hose pipe for:
- Fuel and oil delivery
- Dispensing grains, flour or beverages
- Material handling
Choosing a Suction Discharge Hose
Suction discharge hoses come in several variants to serve different purposes. They are available in a range of sizes, from as small as 1/8 inch to as large as 12 inches. Based on special requirements, manufacturing companies can produce even larger suction discharge hoses. Also, the fittings and couplings attached to the hose vary according to the purpose.
With so many variations available in the market, choosing a suitable suction discharge hose is a daunting task. While choosing a suction hose, an individual must consider the “STAMPED” method. This method takes into consideration the following factors:
- Size: The size of the hose required for the task to be accomplished.
- Temperature: Is there any possibility of a temperature variation during the suction process? What will be the temperature of the liquid to be sucked out?
- Application: Different hose pipes are available for different applications, such as dispensing, discharging and handling.
- Material: The selection of the pipe also depends on the material being conveyed. For example, a hose used for water suction will be different from that used for oil discharge.
- Pressure: Consider the amount of pressure required for accomplishing a particular task. For a high-pressure task, one has to buy a high-quality suction discharge hose with significant tolerance.
- Ends: What is the end fitting required for the task?
- Delivery: The physical specifications of the hose, i.e., length and width, depend on the delivery requirements. A large hose is required to deliver the material to a greater distance, while a wide hose will increase the volume output.
By understanding these basic application requirements, it is possible to buy an appropriate suction discharge hose with apt fittings.

I am in need of radiator hoses in length of one being 3ft 1.75 ID and the second being 5ft with the same 1.75 ID !! can you be of service and supply ? Also I would appreciate it if you could inform me of the price ? Thanking you in advance !! Richard Nichols
We have a flexible wire reinforced radiator hose. Would that work for your application?
Hi,
I am helping one of my technicians look for hose for a Rittal unit. The hose he is looking for is a 22mm ID or 7/8″ OD silicone-rubber hose. He needs two pieces for the discharge side and one piece for the suction side. Can you please tell me if this is something sold/distributed by you. It will need to be pressure rated around 600. The unit is a European manufactured unit and the hose there now is a braided hose that is black with a red stripe. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I’m not familiar with what type of hose is required for this kind of machine. What will be going through the hose and how are the ends connecting to the machine? Are there fittings crimped on the hose or is it clamping onto something?
I’m hoping that we’ll be able to help you, but I need a little more information first.
I am wondering if you can make custom bends in 2.5″ black hose. The hose does not need to meet any specs just want to make custom snorkel kit for an ATV.
If you are looking for a hose with molded bends, unfortunately that’s not something that we offer. If you can make a flexible hose work in your application then we can certainly help you out.
looking for 5 feet of 1 3/4 i d hose to use as a filler neck line on a gas tank got anything
Yes, we carry fuel filler hose in a variety of sizes including 1-3/4″ and can cut you whatever length you need.
Howdy
I want to add flexible couplings to my swim pool equipment 2″ pvc plumbing.
The common 2″ pvc pipe has an OD of 2 3/8 “. I need a rubber hose with a 2 3/8 ID. Nominal Water pressure is less than 50 psi. What can you suggest? Many thanks.
Yes, we stock 2-3/8″ rubber hose that you could use for that. We actually have a few you could choose from depending on how heavy duty you need it to be.
Feel free to give us a call and we can let you know what we offer.
i need +/- 50lf of suction tubing for a ozone generator for my pool. the tubing is 3/8″ o.d. and 1/4″ i.d. it needs to be rigid so it can’t collapse under suction. what do you recommend? thx
Searching online I found that the tubing recommended for an ozone generator is High Density Polyethylene. Unfortunately we only carry Low Density Polyethylene which is not recommended. You may want to check with your pool equipment supplier to see if they carry the correct tubing.
Hello, I am installing a 150 ft communications cable from a buoy down to 65ft in the ocean and I wanted to protect the cable from fish bite and biological growth by stringing it through some sort of tubing. The cable is 3/4in in diameter.
I don’t care if the tubing floods with water because the cable is water proof.
Do you have something inexpensive that I can use for that?
Thank you
We have a 1”I.D. blue PVC hose that should work for that. This will give you 1/4″ of space so your cable should easily slide through the hose.
I am not sure if it will grow mold or algae on the outside but it does have a tough PVC cover that should prevent most fish from biting through the cover and into the cable.
