Continental Air Hose

Air hoses are multi-purpose in nature. They are used to deliver air to a wide variety of tools. Applications include in-plant usage, construction, mines and quarries, shipbuilding, and automotive repair.

Types of Air Hose

Depending on the application, air hose assemblies can be found in one or more of the following categories:

  • Oil resistant
Class A: hose cover exhibits high oil resistance; for use in refineries, automotive shops or any other oily environment
Class B: hose cover exhibits moderate oil resistance; for when hose comes in contact with oil or grease intermittently
Class C: hose cover exhibits low oil resistance; for use in non-oily environments
  • Abrasion resistant: high abrasion resistant covers are available for applications that require the hose to be dragged across concrete, asphalt or other rough surfaces
  • Conductive or Non-conductive: special hose covers are available that ensure the safety of operators in high voltage applications
  • Fabric reinforced or wire reinforced: wire reinforced air hose assemblies are available for higher pressure, large inside diameter applications

Air Hose Tube and Cover Materials Available:
